Blaine Cressman & I went down to T.O. today and it was a beautiful day and it went by absolutely perfectly. Traffic was good, we got up the CN tower on a clear day and had a great time having fun with it. Then we went to the Hockey Hall of Fame and got pictures of us with the Stanley Cup as well as some other cool ones. So we were done all that by 3:30, much, much earlier than we planned considering we did not leave Grebel until noon. We went to eat some local cuisine (aka. Subway) and then we went to the Eaton Centre and checked out the subway (we were such tourists) and ended up getting lost and climbing up a random stairwell. There were no indications of where we were, and we ended up climbing up 32 stories only to hit a dead end, and so we went right back down. Turns out we climbed up Simpson Tower, and did not even see a single window or anything other than that stairwell. So we then went to the Nathan Phillips Square to mull over our options because we still had a lot of time to kill. So we ended up wandering downtown a bit before getting some street meat. After street meat, we hung out in the ACC and went to the Leafs/Capitals game. We were sitting in the standing-room only section, right in the corner high up in the ACC. The game was pretty boring, until the Leafs’ goalie got kicked out in a 2-2 tie with 52 seconds left in the 3rd period. In comes Cujo to save the day! He absolutely robs the Capitals for the rest of the game, and stops all three shots he faces in the shootout to win the game for the Leafs 3-2. Blaine & I were starting cheers of “CUJO! CUJO! CUJO!” all throughout it, with significant skill. So we were so jacked from it we drove back, got back to Grebel around 11:30 and told as many people as we could about our days. That was my day today.
Laura has co-orced me into getting tumblr. And now she is correcting my spelling. She is such a mean girl who has many witchy qualities. That’s okay, I still love her for who she is. Good stuff. Peace out, I’ve got my arms around Lainna trying to type right now because she is talking on this computer to Matt Cunnington on skype. RI-DICULOUS!
